I kinda miss hearing all the weird little stories this guy had to say for the few weeks that he was here. He taught me a ton about graffiti in Sao Paulo, and when we finally did the interview it was pretty amazing. You know those people you meet that are incredibly inspiring, he's one of those people. Check this video, it gives a pretty good glimpse into Sao Paulo, and who Nunca is.

I've had the pleasure of speaking to and interviewing a lot of amazing artists over the past few weeks, and am fortunate enough to share a bed every night with someone so creative and talented it practically oozes from his pours. My eyes have been opened up to so many amazing things, whether it be lessons in graf to the history of turntable-ism, it's all been amazing. Just today I did an interview that I can honestly say was probably life changing. I am so incredibly grateful for all the opportunities i've been given, and for all the amazing individuals that have changed me.
There's so much more to life than LV purses and McDonalds, society just needs to open its eyes take notice.

Manifesto was...
OFF.THE.HOOK.
It took lots and lots of work by many amazing individuals, and I am truly honored to have been a part of the team. We all worked a ton and hardly slept, but the end result was absolutely incredible. From the doc's to the art show to Talib and HiTek, everything was spectacular. Manifesto isn't just a 4 day festival, it's an all day every day movement. Go out, do something positive in your community, and keep the culture, keep Manifesto alive!
Stand by for some insane footy.
Big up, Che, Ryan and everyone else who made this happen.

blah blah blah
So there was a shooting about 30 seconds away from my house last nite... kinda fucked up. Two dudes were shot, both are apparently ok tho. The exrta fucked part is that I walk there about 50 times a day on the way back and forth from my house to ryans, the store, coffee, etc.... fucked.
Also fucked, Toronto's first Africantric school opened its doors on Tuesday. I understand the importance of teaching children about their roots, ancestry, and heratige, however I don't feel that segregation is the best way to acheive this.
Covering another event tonight, Ian Kamau's listening party. Hopefully it goes well.
That's it.
I think i'm going back to bed

bizarre...rip

I'm sure ya'll have heard the story by now..
This is so fucked, rather sad, and somewhat hard to wrap your head around.
Don't do drugs!
self promotion

Every once in a while I do something besides drink coffee, sit in the park, and judge people. I reciently went to Montreal with Smo for Under Pressure, an international graffiti convention, took some photo's and wrote a little piece on it for Earwaks.com. Check it out at the site. (I'd make a link only my computer seems to be from the 80's and wont let me)
In other news I'm going to be working with Manifesto over the next month, interviewing some big acts and producing a ton of pieces, AND i'm ACTUALLY geting paid for it. Stoked. I'm still in search of a regularly paying job tho, so please..anyone...help me out.
